How to Access the VPOLL App from the ZoomApp Landing Page

Step 1: Go to the link “https://app.vpoll.mobi/account/zoomlanding”.

Step 2: Click on “Add the VPOLL app forZoom” button.

Step 3: Click “Allow” in zoom appauthorization page to download the VPOLL app.

Step 4: After this zoom site trying to openZoom Meetings with “Open” and “Cancel” buttons.

Step 5: “Open” button will open theinstalled app in Zoom App.

 

How to Access the VPOLL App from the ZoomApp Marketplace

Step 1: Make sure you have a VPOLLaccount.  If you do not already have aVPOLL account, please call Vistacom at +1 888-336-8774 and sign up.

Step 2: Go to Zoom App Marketplace andclick on search field and type VPOLL to find the VPOLL app.

Step 3: Click on “VPOLL by Vistacom” zoomapp.

Step 4: Click on “Visit Site to Add”.

Step 5: Click “Allow” in zoom appauthorization page to download the VPOLL app.

Step 6: After this zoom site popup willshow 'trying to open Zoom Meetings with “Open” and “Cancel” buttons'.

Step 7: “Open” button will open theinstalled app in Zoom App.

 

How to Access the VPOLL App from the ZoomApp

Usage

Scope ”zoomapp:inmeeting” is used in VPOLLapp. This scope is used for listening meeting information.

 

Launching VPOLL from the Zoom App

Step 1: Open Zoom App.

Step 2: In the My Apps tab you will see theVPOLL app listed.

Step 3: Click the VPOLL app.

Step 4: Select “Administrator” when asked,“How do you wish to access VPOLL?”.

Step 5: Enter your VPOLL accountinformation.

How to Remove the VPOLL App from the ZoomApp Marketplace

Step 1: Log in to your Zoom account andnavigate to the Zoom App Marketplace.

Step 2: Click Manage > Added Apps orsearch for the “VPOLL by Vistacom” app.

Step 3: Click the ‘Remove’ button.”

 

How to Remove the VPOLL App from the ZoomApp

Step 1: Open Zoom and Click on Apps tab.

Step 2: In the My Apps tab click on“Manage” link.

Step 3: Now you will be navigated to theZoom App Marketplace.

Step 4: In the “Added Apps” Section clickVPOLL app's “Remove” button.

Step 5: Now “Remove App” popup will showthe removal confirmation with buttons “Remove” and “Cancel”.

Step 6: Click on “Remove” button to removeVPOLL app from your zoom account.

VPOLL Instructions on How to Format YourVPOLL Meeting and Run Polling Sessions and Surveys

 

VPOLL is structured so that you have aMeeting and then you also create one or more Polling Sessions for that Meeting.  When running a Polling Session, all the participantsanswer the question at the same time and results can be posted immediately.  

 

You can also conduct a Survey usingVPOLL.  A Survey is opened for a periodof time and participants log in and answer the survey questions independentlyand at their own pace.  Question resultscan be found in Reports.    

 

Below are instructions and explanations ofthe features found in VPOLL:

 

Formatting

 

1.    MeetingSetup

a.    LoginScreen

                                              i.     Intro Text. In the Intro Text box, include any introductory text you would like theparticipant to read on the login screen.

                                             ii.     Background Formatting.  Choose either a pre-made background templateor provide your own custom, color background.

                                            iii.     Logo and Image. Upload your own custom logo.

b.    LoginCriteria

                                              i.     Select among the pre-set login criteria and/orcreate your own custom login criteria for attendees to enter on the LoginScreen.

                                             ii.     Participant List.  Using the ID Number login criteria, uploadthe Participant List to enable participant authentication.

c.     Leaderboard

                                              i.     Include text and images to format theIndividual and Team Leaderboards for your competition.

2.    PollingSession Setup

a.    Questions

                                              i.     Question Type. Select the question type and choose the options available for eachspecific question type.

                                             ii.     Import Icon. Select the Import icon to import a text file of your questions andanswer choices or copy questions from another Polling Session.

                                            iii.     Template Icon. Select the Template icon to change the color background template for aparticular question/slide.

                                            iv.     Move Icon. Click the Move icon to re-arrange the order of your slides/questions.

b.    Results.  Use this menu to change chart types, datadisplay, and other options for your questions.

c.     Formatting

                                              i.     Mobile View. Select the options in the Mobile View tab and apply these options over arange of questions.  

                                             ii.     Presentation View.  Select the option to format the PresentationView, including the Presentation Background.

                                            iii.     Competition. Select the Competition tab to format the Standings screen for thisPolling Session.  Note: This is not to beconfused with the Leaderboard in Manage/Meeting, which provides point totalsacross Polling Sessions.  The Competitiontab is for formatting the standings for this particular Polling Session.

d.    Candidates.  Upload the candidate list from this menu.

3.    SurveySetup.

a.    Questions.  Survey have all the same question types asPolling Sessions (see above), with the exception of the Open-ended and Q&Aquestion types.

                                              i.     Rating/Matrix. Surveys have the Rating/Matrix question that is not provided in PollingSessions

                                             ii.     Additional Features

1.    Text fieldfor an answer choice (e.g., “Other” and then type in an answer)

2.    Mandatory.  By clicking Yes to this option, this questionmust be answered before advancing to the next question.

3.    AddLogic.  Allows you to skip to anotherquestion based on which answer was selected for the current question.

b.    Formatting.  These options are similar to PollingSessions.  Presentation and Standingsscreens do not exist for Surveys.

c.     Candidates.  Same as Polling Sessions.

 

 

Operation

 

Polling Session

Running a Polling Session can be done withthree basic steps: Broadcast the question, Stop the Polling, and Broadcast theresults.  But depending on the questiontype there are other features that you can use to get more information for yourresponses.

1.    Run aQuestion

a.    BroadcastQuestion.  Click the Broadcast Questionbutton and the question will appear on everyone’s screen.

b.    StopTimer.  To stop the polling, click thered square in the Timer section. Alternatively, you can program a question to run on a timer and when thetimer expires the polling will automatically be closed.

c.     ShowResults.  Click the Broadcast Resultsbutton to show the distribution of results from your question.

2.    ResultOptions

a.    Cross-Tabulation.  When clicking this button, you can choose tosee the results from the current question cross-tabulated by other groups.  For example, you can see the results from thequestion broken down by age.  Click theEnable Cross-Tabulation button and select the question that contains thegrouping that you would like to see the results for.

b.    QuestionComparison.  Click the Enable QuestionComparison button and select the question that you wish to compare the resultsfrom the current question.  The resultswill display two bar charts for each answer choice (i.e., Pre vs Post) so youcan see how answers may have changed

c.     WordCloud.  For open-ended question types youhave the option to display a word cloud of the results in addition to displayinga feed of the results.

 

Survey

To run a survey, you click the No button toYes and when you are ready to close the survey click the button again to turnit off.  There is no time limit on howlong you wish a survey to remain open.

 

 

Reports

VPOLL provides a variety of reports, mostof which are dependent on the type of questions you asked.  Each report can be downloaded as an Excelfile on your computer.

 

1.    Dashboard

a.    Traffic.  This report indicates how many people loggedinto your meeting each day.

b.    DailyJournal.  This report provides additionalinformation for each Polling Session for each day (i.e., Min votes for aquestion, max votes for a question, average votes for a question, totalresponse for all questions, and attendance for each Polling Session).

2.    QuestionSummary.  This provides a report of rawnumbers and percentages for each multiple-choice question, except Electionquestions.

3.    ParticipantStatistics.  This report indicated whateach participant selected for every multiple-choice question, except Electionquestions.  For questions that have acorrect answer and/or points, the report also indicates % Correct score and PointsTotal Score

4.    AttendanceRecord

a.    BySession.  See how many people attendedeach polling session and answered at least one question.

b.    ByIndividual.  See how engaged eachparticipant was in your meeting by noting the number of responses theyprovided.

5.    Cross-Tabulation.  Get specific cross-tabulation reports.

6.    Comparison.  Get specific question comparison reports.

7.    Open EndedText.  Get a report of the responses tothe open-ended questions.

8.    WordCloud.  Get a word cloud report from theopen-ended questions.

9.    Q&A.  Get a listing of the questions asked from theQ&A questions.

10.  Elections. Get reports from election questions, including results by groups,weighted votes, and results by individual.
